American Airlines Decided to Reduce Managerial Staff by 30 Percent

The COVID-19 affects continuous round the world, and now the United States of America's biggest Airline American Airlines decided to reduce its Managerial Staff by 30 Percent. The information has been come out after a letter was released by American Airlines Management. Other competitor Airlines has also decided to reduce its frontline managerial staff.

Despite the bailout and other liquidity raises, Americans always prefer to travel on a lost airline due to the current financial crises due pandemic said by executive vice president of people and global engagement Elise Eberwein.



American Airlines also confirms that after the reduction in the management ranks the company starts reducing the other frontline staff including Pilots, Cabin Crew, ground staff, operations staff, and engineering staff by giving them an option of early retirement or voluntary leaves.

The spokesperson of American said that it is accelerating the fleet retirement and expects to fly less than 100 Aircraft in summer 2021. About 40000 employees have already adopted the early retirement or voluntary leave option.
