Initial Investigation Report of Pakistan International Airline (PIA) Airbus 320 Flight from Lahore to Karachi #PK8303 Crash.


1) Aircraft was cleared by ground Engineers at the time of departure hence Aircraft was technically sound to fly.
2) According to the ATC call record, Aircraft completed 1 hour 30 minutes route from LHE to KHI without any technical problem.
3) Moments before landing, Pilots found out that landing gears are not Deploying because of some technical problems in the hydraulic system.
4) Captain decided to attempt a Belly landing at Jinnah International Airport runway 25L without landing gears, but the 1st landing attempt was unsuccessful. During this attempt Aircraft Engines touched the ground and may suffer damage. According to the initial Runway inspection report, there are two engine marks on Runway 25L, 1st at 4500 ft and 2nd at 5500 ft.

5) After the first unsuccessful landing attempt, Pilot aborted the landing and went for a Go Around to prepare for 2nd landing attempt.
6) Pilot climb's to 3000ft to make an ILS approach for the 2nd landing attempt on Runway 25L. During ILS approach ATC informed Captain that aircraft is not maintaining the required altitude.
7) Captain asked ATC clearness for an ILS approach to Runway 25L.
8) Soon after Captain asked ATC for Direct approach to Runway 25L because he was losing power.
9) Captain made a Mayday call and report that he lost both engines.
10) ATC cleared the aircraft to land at Runway 25 (Both L & R because of Emergency landing)
11) Aircraft lost contact from the ATC and crashed into residential Apartments just some hundred meters before Runway 25 of Jinnah International Airport Karachi with 99 souls on board.


Rescue teams reached the crash site and started the rescue operation. 2 Passengers miraculously survived this horrible Air Crash while 97 bodies have been recovered from the crash site including the bodies of Captain and the First officer.
Most passengers are traveling to their home city Karachi to celebrate Eid festival with their families
May all the departed souls rest in Peace.
Black Box and Cockpit voice recorder have been recovered and it will be send to Airbus for decryption. A high-level inquiry board has been ordered to find out what went wrong with the unlucky Pakistan International Airline's flight PK8303.

Final Investigation Report

According to federal Minister for Aviation , final report of PK8303 will be published in 22nd june 2020 infront of parliament (National Assembly of Pakistan).
